In collaboration with the International Council for Commercial Arbitration, Co-editors of the research project “Does a Right to a Physical Hearing Exist in International Arbitration?” Giacomo Rojas Elgueta, James Hosking and Yasmine Lahlou (Chaffetz Lindsey LLP) have released the project’s first national reports from four important New York Convention jurisdictions: Australia, Italy, Vietnam and the United States. An additional 82 national reports will come out in three batches between January and March 2021.

As the project’s centerpiece, the national reports are intended to provide reliable, jurisdiction-specific information on the core legal questions posed by the increased use of remote arbitral hearings due to the COVID pandemic.
