Our Partner Giacomo Rojas Elgueta spoke at the conference “The European Convention on Human Rights and its impact on private law: Italo-German perspectives” within the Villa Vigoni – German Research Foundation bilateral research program

On August 31, 2021 our Partner Giacomo Rojas Elgueta was invited to speak at the conference “The European Convention on Human Rights and its impact on private law: Italo-German perspectives”, organized by colleagues Prof. Matteo Fornasier and Prof. Maria Gabriella Stanzione as part of the Villa Vigoni and Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) – German Research Foundation bilateral research program.

The objective of the conference, which took place at Villa Vigoni’s premises on the Lake Como, was to explore the private law dimension of the fundamental rights enshrined in the European Convention on Human Rights. In this context, Prof. Rojas Elgueta delivered a presentation on “Balancing investment protection and regulatory freedom: the case law of the European Court of Human Rights in comparative perspective”.
